About Aaron Davis

Hi, I’m Aaron Davis. I am the author of two best selling books, #1 Best Seller Limitless: You Can Experience the Freedom Power and Potential You Were Created For (available in Teen and Spanish versions as well), and #2 Best Seller Quantum Christianity: Believe Again , and also the books The Spirit of Religion and Love They Neighbor…? When a Spirit of Religion Opposes the Heart of God.

Many people know me as “The Tattooed Preacher” and yes, I’m aware of the Velveeta factor attached to the name.

Screen Shot 2014-07-10 at 3.47.01 PMI set out to change it a few years ago & spoke with a friend (a marketing guru who just happens to be responsible for the syndication of the 3 top shows in the history of Television), and he advised me that I would be foolish to discard a name so brandable and memorable as “TattooPreacher”, especially after spending over a decade building the brand.

And of course, he was right.  Even though I chose the name on a whim many years ago, and in reality have very little identity attached to my tattoo’s (other than just liking how they look), it has been the catalyst that has opened the door for me to minister to so many people who may not normally grace the doors of a church…(Drug Dealers, Gang Members, Prostitutes, Addicts, Agents, Authors, Producers, Rock Stars, Porn Stars, Country Music Stars, Actors, Dancers, I’ve even been called on to officiate private celebrity weddings…etc).  And honestly, it has been the curiosity surrounding the cheesy “TattooPreacher” name that opened the door for so many of these ministry opportunities…aaron flame

When I see people that I don’t really know they don’t typically ask, “Are you Aaron Davis”, they ask “Are you the Tattooed Preacher?”  So I embrace it.  As a wise country boy once said, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…”

About the Blog

This is my personal blog.  It is focused on “Spiritual Development and Encouragement” with an emphasis on understanding what it means for people to experience the Kingdom of God in the earth.  I’m a fan of science and quantum physics, I love humor and have been an Ordained Minister & Pastor for over 20 years.   What I write about often cross pollenates between these subjects.

My goal is to create content that is insightful, inspiring, out-of-the-box, and thought provoking in hopes that it will challenge spiritual growth in people at any level of faith.

Screen Shot 2014-07-17 at 10.18.06 PMMy Biography

I spent 8 years of my life as a law enforcement officer serving as a D.A.R.E Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective
Sergeant (criminal investigations-working everything from vandalism to homicide), a S.W.A.T team member, and was awarded Officer of the Year in 2002…I was mandated to take a medical retirement after an attempt was made on my life in the line of duty.
I’m an Ordained Minister & Pastor of over 20 years and am currently working with Citipointe Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

I genuinely appreciate the differences in people and personality types!  My personal ministry mission statement is Screen Shot 2014-07-17 at 10.11.39 PM“Touching the Untouchable and Reaching the Unreachable”.  I just love people…The ones who like and go to church AND the ones who don’t…

“What Religion Are You…?”

As a “Tattooed” Preacher, I am often asked what my spiritual background is…Because of what they’ve been told about Christianity and Tattoo’s many are shocked to hear that I am absolutely a Christian! 110%!

I was raised in church in the “Down-River” Detroit area.  I went to Bible College and have dedicated my life to the studying the Bible, theology and religion.  I recreationally study science, quantum physics, history, psychology & sociology (but am by no means a professional in those fields).

Screen Shot 2014-07-17 at 10.52.51 PMI recognize that a stereotype of many significantly “tattooed” people is an underlying rebellious attitude against those
who don’t believe or look as they do.  And also realize that many times this stereotype accompanies an opposition to
anything traditional.

Just for the record, I’m NOT “that guy”.  I’ve studied church history and I have a deep level of respect for where the body of Christ has come from.  I’m NOT one who adamantly looks to replace what is traditionally respected, but rather believe we need to build off of that foundation.  My desire is to see the body of Christ united in purpose rather than divided over semantics.  We all have something to contribute to the whole!

Whether they would agree with me or I, them,  I honor those who have gone before me to pave the way for what I am able to experience today as a result of their life investment and Kingdom contribution.

Screen Shot 2014-07-17 at 10.57.25 PMI have been a Youth Pastor, an Associate Pastor, an Executive Pastor, a traveling evangelist, a street evangelist, a church elder, a worship
leader and ministry consultant.  I’ve served on the board of trustees in one of the most respected ministries in the US, I have fed the homeless, worked with inner-city youth, ministered to gang members and drug addicts, preached in other countries.  At one time I had a top 10 blog on the largest social network in the world.  As a pastoral assistant, I have personally served some of the most noted men in ministry today and I am again currently pursuing an evangelistic ministry both state side and abroad (feel free to contact me to arrange speaking engagements).

I’ve been married to my wife, Lisa for 27 years and we have one son named, Rocky.  We currently live in Nashville, Tennessee.

Screen Shot 2014-07-17 at 11.02.18 PMIn my free time I enjoy writing, skateboarding & riding dirt bikes with my son, riding my Harley Davidson Road King, Scuba Diving, seeing an occasional movie, shooting guns, hanging out with friends and family, healing the sick… you know, normal Christian stuff…

  1. DEXTER

Aaron, I have spoke (internet) with you before, (my mom sister & I read your book together) We just finished reading your “victim/investor” blog.
Here’s our story: last March as my Day lay dieing in the local hospital, my mom was practically living at the hospital with him, someone broke into their home and stole my father’s safe. It contained 250,000. in gold and silver, (my Father pulled their savings and converted it when the banking system started to fail , and being a student of the book of Revelation thought it wise) they went to the garage, and dollyed it out the front door.It was money my father had intended for my mom after his death. He died a few days after hearing of the theft. The detectives here in Atascadero have not solved the case. I know it was someone from our family unfortunately. (Nothing ransacked, nothing else taken (guns, rare guitars ect) I moved in to help take care of my Mom (step) it has been hard at times, but we turned it over to the Lord and we forgive who did it and know God will somehow use it for his glory (perhaps salvation to the one who stole it.) Your blog this morning blessed us, and we had never looked at our experience in that perspective. We do stand on his word, and praise him in the knowledge that it was sown! (also no-one can ever steal our joy. Thank You Brother! from me and my Mom, I know we are a small return on your investment!

Hey Dexter…thanks so much for leaving the comment on this blog…I had no idea all that had happened to you! As a former detective myself, I understand how that kind of stuff happens and i’m sorry it happened to you… I simply cannot imagine going through all of that in one season, with your dad and the theft and all… You used a word that I would like to correct… “Small” return on my investment… when it comes to lives, there is no “small” roi… Each one is HUGE! Thank you for sharing and all of the encouragement this year! God Bless!
